Treatment Modalities Explanation
Metabolic Analysis/Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis
Now days, there is more to nourishing our body than just the food we select to eat. Today's poorer soils, modern farming techniques and fertilizers, together with environmental pollutants and new lifestyles subsequently has a significant effect on our essential balances and general state of health. As a result, the need to better monitor nutritional status has become more important than ever before.
Hair mineral analysis has been used in forensic medicine for decades. Hair analysis has gained worldwide recognition as an analytical tool for receiving information about mineral patterns, drug abuse, and longterm toxic metal exposure.

Hair analysis tells whether you're a fast or slow metaboliser, it creates a profile of your body chemistry and outlines what foods and nutritional requirements you have to have to maximize health. It measures the level of essential and trace minerals as well as the level of toxic chemicals stored in your tissues which may interfere with proper mineral balance in the body.
For Example:
The sodium to potassium balance measured in this analysis also tells you whether your stress levels have pushed your body to a state of exhaustion.
Copper to molybdenum indicates the PH status of body tissues.
Excess copper can lead to depression, anxiety, poor sugar metabolism and food/chemical sensitivity.
Comprehensive Interpretative Report
- Easy to read, graphic illustration of the patient's test results for 35 - 36 elements
- Provides reference ranges for all minerals tested and displays important mineral ratio results
- Provides a comprehensive, individualized discussion and evaluation of the patient's mineral result levels, including significant ratios, metabolic type, disease trends and impact on body chemistry.
- Provides detailed dietary recommendations for specific foods and favorable food groups
- Highlights potential food sensitivities and allergies
- Provides supplement guidance
- Provides two reports. An informative, educational and user friendly report for the patient and a detailed, technically orientated doctor's report for the practitioner
How to order a hair Analysis report:
- Follow the following instructions to cut your hair
- Send your hair in a closed envelope placed in another envelope to the clinic
- Place a bank cheque for $150.00 plus $5.00 for shipping. To pay by credit card, just follow the online payment instruction
- Include the following information: Full name, Address, Weight, Height, Sex, any current medication, any medical condition and the location of the hair cut
- A full report will be mailed to within 3 weeks after the receipt of your hair
How to obtain a representative hair tissue sample:
Cut hair sample from the nape and/or several scalp locations as indicated below:
- LENGTH: Cut hair as close to the scalp as possible. Use clean, stainless steel scissors. The length of hair used should not exceed 4 cm or 1.5 inches. Retain the proximal (root) portion and discard any excess hair. The freshly grown hair reflects the most recent metabolic activity
- AMOUNT: Half of one gram (i.e.: 0.5 gm) or about one heaped tablespoon of hair is required for an accurate Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis. Hair weight scales are available upon request
- SAMPLE DETAILS: Clean and untreated hair is generally recommended. Chemical treatments can alter some trace element levels. Virgin (untreated) hair usually can be found underneath at the nape location. Thinning scissors may be used on short hair
Pubic hair is acceptable for monitoring toxins. Do not mix head hair with pubic hair. The hair sample should be placed in a clean envelope.
